Gosnell Abortion Clinic Worker Admits Snipping Spines of 10 Babies

Not only did abortion practitioner Kermit Gosnell snip the spines of babies he killed in his gruesome live-birth abortion process, an abortion clinic worker who worked for him admitted today she did too.

Gosnell is charged with more than 30 criminal counts including the killing of seven newborn infants and a female patient in a botched abortion. Day one of the trial took place yesterday with opening statements and AP has more on an interesting revelation that came to light today.

Harry Blackmun’s Decision

How did Justice Harry Blackmun, who wrote the majority opinion in the most controversial Supreme Court decision in history, Roe v. Wade, divine the right to abortion from the 14th Amendment’s supposed “right to privacy,” when there simply is no right to privacy in the 14th Amendment or anywhere else in the Constitution?

Let’s pause for a moment on Roe v. Wade – a decision that opened the door to over 40 million abortions. If we’re exploring how and why judges feel perfectly justified in ignoring the Constitution’s original intent, let’s consider one illuminating little story involving Blackmun, the hero of Roe v. Wade, and his pregnant daughter.

The Case Against Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey

On January 22, 1973, the Supreme Court handed down its decision in Roe v. Wade. That same day, the Court also decided Doe v. Bolton. In Roe, the Court struck down a Texas abortion law. In Doe, the Court threw out the restrictions on abortion in a more liberal Georgia law. The combined result overturned the laws that restricted abortion in every state.

Doctors ‘should have the right to KILL unwanted or disabled babies at birth as they are not a real person’

By Fiona Macrae

Doctors should have the right to kill newborn babies because they are disabled, too expensive or simply unwanted by their mothers, an academic with links to Oxford University has claimed.

Francesca Minerva, a philosopher and medical ethicist, argues a young baby is not a real person and so killing it in the first days after birth is little different to aborting it in the womb.

Even a healthy baby could have its life snuffed out if the mother decides she can’t afford to look after it, the article published by the British Medical Journal group states.

Dying from Botched Abortions

A twenty-four year old woman went to Planned Parenthood in Chicago for an abortion at 11:00 a.m. on July 20, 2012. By 11:00 p.m., she was pronounced dead.

According to their website, this Planned Parenthood location doesn’t perform surgical abortions. Yet somehow, Tonya Reaves was given an incomplete surgical abortion that perforated her uterus.

And when it was discovered that this young woman was hemorrhaging, what did this abortion mill’s “caring” staff do? Nothing! Tonya Reaves was left to hemorrhage on her own in a recovery room … for over five hours.

The Case Against Abortion: Crisis of Conscience

At current rates, the Guttmacher Institute estimates that close to one-third of American women will have an abortion in their lifetime. For each of these women, there is also the man who impregnated her and the family or friends who may have pressured her to abort. The end result is a huge cross-section of people with a direct and intimate connection to abortion. Almost all of them have a vested interest in rationalizing its necessity–making an objective analysis of the issue almost impossible to come by. For any of them to finally conclude that abortion is immoral and unjust, they must be willing to first condemn themselves.

The Shifting Focus in the Abortion Debate: Does The Humanity of the Unborn Matter Anymore?

by Francis J. Beckwith

Pro-lifers in the United States have always assumed that if they could demonstrate beyond a reasonable doubt that the fetus is a human person, then it would be only a matter of time before the courts and legislatures would declare nontherapeutic abortion — the willful destruction of a living fetus — unjustified homicide. Thus the pro-life view would be vindicated and nontherapeutic abortion would once again be illegal.

Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation

By Ronald Reagan

Spring, 1983

THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade is a good time for us to pause and reflect. Our nationwide policy of abortion-on-demand through all nine months of pregnancy was neither voted for by our people nor enacted by our legislators—not a single state had such unrestricted abortion before the Supreme Court decreed it to be national policy in 1973. But the consequences of this judicial decision are now obvious: since 1973, more than 15 million unborn children have had their lives snuffed out by legalized abortions. That is over ten times the number of Americans lost in all our nation’s wars.

Abortion & Keeping the Right to Dream Alive

Roe v. Wade, is the landmark decision that gave women in pursuit of a ‘dream’ the right to abort a generation of inconvenient children. For those women whose career aspirations and desire for financial security took precedence over the sanctity of life, disposing of fifty or sixty million human beings was but a small price to pay.

President Barack Obama appreciates the stuff that dreams are made of, and has made it clear he believes that an unwanted pregnancy is a “punishment” if it deters a woman’s hopes and dreams.  Obama’s remedy?  Eliminate that which is living if it infringes on that which is not.
